Our Mission

"To Know Jesus, and to Make Him Known"

United Women of Faith

United Women of Faith is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, develop a creative supportive fellowship, and expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the church.  At Woodland, our UMW have monthly circle meetings, small groups that meet in home or at the church, for fellowship and study.  All women are welcome!  We'd love to have you join us!

Knowing Jesus

"One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."  Matthew 4:4  All Woodland church activity supports spiritual development and growth.  Jesus tells us that His coming fulfills the scripture and that he wants to dwell in our hearts.  Our Christian distinctiveness grows as we grow in the faith.  As we worship, learn, and serve together, we grow in understanding and in commitment to Christ.  You will find study groups, Sunday School classes, or intensive Bible study groups which will nurture you along with your fellow travelers.  Whether you are a mature Christian, or just beginning your walk with Jesus, Woodland UMC is a place for you to continue to grown in the faith.

Nurturing Family

"... where two or more are gathered in my name, I am among [you}."  Being together gives us the cance to know each other and intertwine our lives making us a community of friends.  Friends are vital to our lives.  Individuals become groups or teams, from organizes sports such as basketball, to participation in caring

United Men 'N Ministry

Our United Men 'N Ministry meet monthly for breakfast, fellowship, programs and to plan local service projects.  The group also gives financial support to missions and local church needs, such as adult missions and scouting.  All men are encouraged to attend!

Inviting All

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..."  Matthew 28:19  New friendships are made when a new family moves into the neighborhood and a Woodland church member visits them and invites them to be a part of the upcoming celebration.  We reach out to newcomers in the community as a whole.

Serving Others

"... whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant." Matthew 20:26  Service is a pivotal piece of each Christian's response to God's grace.  Woodland United Methodist Church is always looking for opportunities to serve - and for those who will serve.  Whether one on one, or in group setting, service opportunities are available to everyone.  We have a place for you to serve our Lord Jesus Christ!
