The Memory Connection at Woodland United Methodist Church offers a warm and welcoming environment for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Our program provides enriching activities designed to engage the mind, body, and spirit, helping participants maintain a sense of independence and joy. While loved ones enjoy these activities, caregivers can take a well-deserved break, knowing their family members are safe and loved.

Respite Care Meets Monday and Friday 10 am - 1:50pm, lunch included.  Cost is $40.00 per day.

Caring for someone with dementia can be a challenging and emotional journey, but you don’t have to do it alone. Join our support group to connect with others who are on a similar path, share your experiences, and learn from those who truly understand what you're going through. Together, we can navigate the complexities of caring for a loved one with dementia. 

Join us on the last Wednesday of each month at 1:30 for a dementia-friendly worship experience. During this time, we will sing familiar hymns, have a brief homily, and celebrate Holy Communion together. (In the United Methodist tradition, ALL persons are invited to participate in the sacrament of communion, whether you are a United Methodist or not.) Experience joy, hope, and God’s unconditional love as we come together in this 30-minute service.

Volunteering with The Memory Connection at Woodland United Methodist Church offers you the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals with dementia and their families. Our program is built on the belief that genuine friendships and meaningful interactions can greatly enhance the lives of those living with dementia. By joining us, you'll have the chance to develop heartfelt connections with participants and fellow volunteers, all while engaging in activities that promote spiritual growth and physical well-being.
