Join Us for the 75th Anniversary Potluck Lunch!

As part of Woodland United Methodist Church’s 75th Anniversary Celebration, we invite you to join us for a special Anniversary Potluck Lunch on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, at 11:45 AM, immediately following the Celebration Worship Service.

• Date: Sunday, September 8th, 2024
• Time: 11:45 AM (following the 10:30 AM worship service)
• Location: Fellowship Hall, Woodland United Methodist Church

🍽️ Main Dish: We'll be serving delicious smoked pork as the main dish.

🥗 Bring a Side Dish: We ask our congregation to bring a side dish or dessert based on the first letter of your last name:

• A-G: Salads or Appetizers
• H-M: Vegetables or Side Dishes
• N-S: Desserts
• T-Z: Bread or Rolls

As a nod to our rich history, we encourage you to prepare a dish from one of Woodland UMC’s cookbooks. These cherished recipes are a testament to our community’s legacy. If you choose to use a recipe from the past, please bring a copy of the recipe from the cookbook to display alongside your dish.

During the luncheon, we will also showcase displays of Woodland UMC's history, including publications, directories, memorabilia, and more. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our journey and celebrate the incredible community that has grown over the years.

If you have any historical items you’d like to contribute to the display, please bring them to the church office by Sunday, September 1st.

As we remember the past, we also look towards the future by creating a commemorative time capsule. We’ll be including items representing our current identity as a church and as Christians, to be opened at our 100th anniversary in 2049. If you’d like to contribute something to the time capsule, please bring it to the church office prior to Sunday, September 1st.
